Maria Luisa Mandelli

I am a biomedical engineer specializing in brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), with more than one decade of experience in my field. Throughout this time, I have been working directly with clinicians to provide methodological and technical tools to help answer clinical questions. My expertise resides in establishing MR protocols with cutting-edge methodologies and in applying advanced neuroimaging techniques to a wide range of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases. I am driven by a strong passion for teaching and mentoring in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, with particular attention to involving and encouraging women to be involved in the more technical aspects of their research.
